Everyone knows that the East Coast is the BEST coast for Italian food, and truly, who doesn’t love a great pasta, seafood or Italian-style dish? You don’t need to be from Italy to love the flavor of Italian cooking. Lucky for us, the Jersey Shore is one of the best destinations besides the city of course, for great Italian cuisine. Make life a little richer (and tastier) after retirement with a trip to these delectable best Italian restaurants in NJ!

No matter where you’re traveling at the shore (yes, it’s at the shore—not down the shore if indeed, although some may debate this) we’ve got a list of great Italian eats for you. Mangia!

 

1- Joe Leone’s, Point Pleasant Beach:

 Great for take out or eat in, this local favorite spot is great for Italian cuisine and even better? The prices are good! Take a walk down the street and see all the little spots in Point Pleasant Beach afterwards for a nice quiet evening.

 

2- Spano’s Ristorante Italiano, Point Pleasant Beach:

 Want to comparison taste or try out a different restaurant each weekend (yum, don’t mind if I do)? Try out Spano’s and let us know which you prefer: Spano’s or Leone’s!

 

3- Piccola Italia, Oakhurst:

 A hidden gem that’s a bit hard to find, Piccola Italia is voted by many as of the best Italian restaurants in NJ!

 

4- Cibo e Vino, Asbury Park:

Asbury Park has changed from the Asbury Park you may have known. Asbury is one of the hottest nightlife destinations in NJ, period. Try out Cibo e Vino for some Italian food small bites that are perfect for sharing.

 

5- Undici, Rumson:

 Pricey, but one of the well known best Italian restaurants, Jersey Shore style. This restaurant would make for a lovely date night.

 

6- That’s Amore, Cape May:

Take a day trip to Cape May for the beach, boardwalk, and this gem of an eatery! That’s Amore is authentic and romantic, making it a great choice for a date night or to celebrate a special anniversary.

 

7- Chef Vola’s, Atlantic City:

Are you ready to head down to Atlantic City for the night or weekend? Make your trip even more memorable and mouth-watering with a visit to Chef Vola’s. Apparently the veal parm is all that!

No matter where you are at the Jersey Shore, food and fun abound. We are so lucky to have a variety of cuisines in our area and to have entertainment right at our feet.  And if you are craving some Italian munchies but simply don’t want to wait for a table, any pizza joint in Jersey is bound to leave you and your company feeling satisfied!
