As I began my federal civilian service career with the Department of Army (many, many years ago), I often observed golfers playing the great game of golf at Fort Monmouth’s SunEagles Golf Course. At that time, I thought that golf was a pleasure reserved only for the very wealthy and that it would forever be beyond my reach. Little did I realize that after more than 40 years of working hard and putting one foot in front of the other that I’d be fortunate and blessed to not only retire but to live here at Westlake, and PLAY GOLF – and not just once in a while but EVERYDAY if I wish so long as my back holds out! My Dad, who left us, far too soon, always told me “work hard and the rewards will come” – and he was SO right! My new friends at Westlake will often hear me say “I’m a lucky woman” (especially after a really great golf shot) but I truly believe it! Not only do I enjoy resort style living right here in this great state of New Jersey (born and raised can you tell?) – but I also have access to a delicious menu at our private Westlake Grille restaurant (no lines…yay!) and I can play the game I love whenever I want! After you’ve “tried the rest – come see the best” and check out Westlake for yourself. I promise – you won’t regret it because here – at Westlake…dreams really do come true!
